About SHINE Awards® Since their inception in 2004, the Awards have celebrated some of the most remarkable, inspirational and successful women in the UK travel, tourism and hospitality industries and this years’ nominees and finalists are equally outstanding.The SHINE Awards® aim to recognise the increasingly important role played by women in our industry and publicly honour their commitment, professionalism and care. These Awards though are not just about the winners; they are about raising the standards, measuring oneself against ones’ peers and about providing role models for other women in the sector. Awards require a clear purpose, comprehensive entries and judging criteria and a system that is objective and transparent, The Shine Awards provide all of this. We would like to thank all the judges who, undaunted by the small mountain of paperwork to read and absorb, took their responsibilities very seriously and identified this year’s winners. Above all we wish to thank you all our sponsors for their continued, invaluable support and for helping to make The Shine Awards® such a very special occasion. We are proud to support The Family Holiday Association, our featured charity, which helps over 1,200 disadvantaged families with young children every year by giving them access to a week-long holiday at the seaside.
